MINI JCW - My new toy

Hi Guys,

As some of you may know my wife and I had a beautiful baby boy three months ago. This meant it was time to upgrade my wife's Golf GTI to a family wagon and for me to say goodbye to my S5.

I thought long and hard about a relatively inexpensive but fun car for me to drive and couldn't go past the MINI John Cooper Works. I managed to find a "Challenge Edition" which is an Australia-only version that comes standard with CF rear wing and CF/Alcantara Steering Wheel, Hand-Brake Handle and Gear Stick and Boot.

Here's a few pics, hope you like it!

I was THIS close to buying a JCW edition. Until the last test drive some idiot in his 350Z tried to race me. (in HS no doubt). I just can't deal with sh*t heads like that on a daily. And I totally would here in the midwest where ppl consider cars like that -girly - cars.

My dad has a cooper S. Sweeet car.

Congrats Joe, enjoy it in good health. Big fan of the JCW works cars, they are a lot of fun on the track and very comfortable for daily use. can you legally put darker tints in aussieland?

love everything except the wing. I have never figured out why people put wings on front wheel drive cars.

Hi Joe,

Congratulations on the fresh purchase. Look forward to hearing your thoughts after a while of ownership.

Can you feed that 91, or does it need 98?

Cheers,
Nik
