2011 BMW Alpina B7 Pricing Announced
WOODCLIFF LAKE, New Jersey — BMW has announced that its 2011 Alpina B7 sedan will be priced starting at $122,875 when it goes on sale in the U.S. market this spring. The Alpina B7 will make its North American debut at the 2010 Chicago Auto Show this month.
BMW first had an Alpina B7 as a limited-edition model in 2007 and 2008 but calls this 2011 B7 "newly interpreted and based o the current 7 Series platform."
The 2011 Alpina B7 sedan is priced at $122,875 for the standard-wheelbase model and $126,775 for the extended-wheelbase version. Prices include $875 destination charge.
The 2011 Alpina B7 has a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter direct injection V8, tweaked by Alpina to make 500 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, and an electronically adjustable suspension with Active Roll Stabilization. Aerodynamic touches from Alpina include front and rear spoilers, dual exhaust integrated into the rear bumper, and a set of 20-spoke, 21-inch Alpina Classic wheels.
The interior has Alpina blue illuminated door-sill trim, a heated steering wheel, and heated seats — and cooling for the front seats as well — and a black-panel LCD instrument cluster. Hand-stitched Lavalina leather trims the steering wheel, dashboard, seats, door panels and center console. The traditional Alpina Blue metallic paint color or any other 7 Series exterior color can be had on the Alpina B7, BMW says.
