Supercharging M156(63AMG) engine
#21
Weistec has installed the SC on my black series and it is nothing short or amazing. My car had in excess of 660 rwhp in October and R&D work is being done (on the entire driveline) which should have it north of 700 rwhp come the spring time.
As an aside, Kleemann is a distributor for Weistec.

Your supercharger kit and how it performs is only as good as the guys who tuned the whole package as a symbiotic integration for every part of the kit.
I just finished a stage 1 system with Weistec and cant say enough about how well built and engineered the whole package is.
Every part is very well thought out, and the fit and finish are 2nd to none. If you opened the hood and had never seen a 63 motor, you would not notice any after market parts...the whole thing looks oem.
The car drives just like stock, smooth, no hesitations or lean spots anywhere. It feels and runs like smoother than the CL 55 compressor motor I had and now pulls much harder than that car as well.
Love the whole package and it does not feel in any way like it is stressing any other components from the added torque or bhp.
Besides, Steve at Weistec is always available and can answer ANY question on the planet about the varying tunes for that motor.

If your concern is engine response, you will get much..much...much more response with a SC engine. In fact you can't even compare response from a NA to a SC engine as the SC engine is in a completely different league!

If you think the NA has better response you better do some research my friend. The difference between the NA 6.2 litre engine and even when I had the stage 1 SC was nothing short of amazing.
Perhaps you are confusing a turbo car (which has lag) to a SC car???
