Watching a Bugatti Go Through a Gas Station Car Wash Is Weirdly Torturous

You have three kinds of car owners in this world: those who would pay for $8,000 wax, those who use the two-bucket method in the driveway, and those who like to pretend the gas station car wash is a really inexpensive roller coaster ride. Apparently, this Bugatti Veyron owner is Person No. 3.

Somewhere in Europe, YouTube user Fipeux spotted a Veyron at the gas station. Peculiarly, however, the car wasn’t there just for a fill-up, it was there for a touch up. In one of the strangest Bugatti videos you’ll probably ever see, the million-dollar car sits there in its designated spot while the $5-a-wash machine brushes, splashes, sprays, and blow dries.

As somebody who has seen multiple friends’ cars get scratched in these things, this is nails on chalkboards to the umpteenth power. I generally try to hold back on telling someone what to do with their own car, because it is their car and not mine, but there’s really just no need for this. You paid that much for the supercar, it deserves a proper hand-wash. If you’re in that much of a hurry, just leave it dirty for the extra day and get one of those vans to come wash it tomorrow morning, while you’re getting your first cup of coffee. Or just give me $50, and I’ll come wash it.
