U.S. Only Special Edition Ferrari On The Way

By -

It’s no secret that Ferrari has no trouble selling outrageously priced one-off special edition cars such as the $4.2 million F12 TRS. With that being said, the Maranello based carmaker is at it again, this time with a limited run of 10 cars for the US only.

The latest special edition model is designed to celebrate the company’s 60th anniversary in United States, will cost approximately $3.2 million, and is said to be all spoken for.

At his last public speaking event as Ferrari chairman, Montezemolo said the special edition will have a color schema used by the North American Racing Team (NART), metallic blue with white stripes, and will be unveiled during a gala dinner in Beverly Hills on October 12. Interesting to note this will be the day before Montezemolo will be replaced by Sergio Marchionne.

The new special edition is purported to be based on the F12 Berlinetta, with a radically modified exterior.

“To celebrate Ferrari’s 60th year in the USA, we have developed a special car of which just 10 examples will be built, in addition to planning a major event in Los Angeles to bring together all our American clients and collectors, and a charity initiative,” Montezemolo told the British Publication Auto Express.
