The New Special Edition Pagani Huayra BC ROARS to Life
The insanity that is the Pagani Huayra is intensified in the newest special edition, the Huayra BC, which was officially unveiled at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.
The Huayra BC separates itself visually from its more mundane counterpart with aggressive aero bits that will help keep the car firmly planted on the ground. A large rear spoiler and a wild front splitter may be the most notable of the changes, but, in fact, the Huayra BC only shares its roof panel with the standard coupe.
An uprated twin-turbo Mercedes-AMG V-12 sends power through an all-new 7-speed automated manual gearbox and differential that, together, are 40-percent lighter than the standard units. Pagani has not released power figures, yet, but we know it will be more than the already impressive 750 ponies in the base model, thanks in part to a lighter and more efficient exhaust system.
In case you were wondering, the “BC” in the name comes from one of Horacio Pagani’s closest friends and the first Pagani customer, Benny Caiolo.
