June Gloom has been very real here in Los Angeles this month, and that usually has a tendency to deter nice cars from coming out to play. But with news of the Petersen Automotive Museum unveiling a very rare Lamborghini Centenario, that didn’t stop a mob of Lamborgini owners and motor heads from coming out from their garage holes. Check out all of the cars that came out to play on the rooftop parking lot.

The museum had been sending out email blasts hyping up the event, but what was interesting was that in the email, in fine print, they hinted they’d be getting a replica. But come the day of meet, we were treated with the real deal, which, as you can see below, caused quite a scene. It was so crowded, in fact, I had to wait until the museum closed to get some more intimate pictures of the car.

Only 40 Centenario’s have been built, 20 hard tops and 20 roadsters. All were built with a carbon fiber monocoque frame equipped with a V12 and an all-wheel drive system capable of 217 mph. The price tag? $1.96 million dollars. Unfortunately for all of us with a spare couple of million bucks, all 40 have already been sold.
