Introducing the Bentley Continental GT Speedier, Now With More Power

Okay, so Bentley didn’t actually name a car the GT Speedier, but the new GT Speed was recently announced with a tad bit more power. The car has been kicked up to 633 hp (from 626), and torque goes up to 620 lb-ft. This all from that massive 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine.

Despite weighing in at 5,115 pounds, that much power still pushes the GT Speed to a top mark of 206 mph! And it goes from 0-60 in 3.9 seconds. That makes it the fastest production Bentley ever.

With the updated power, the range also gets a brand new Black Edition. Interestingly enough, that doesn’t necessarily mean that everything will be black. The exterior paint is up to the customer, but the “brightware” is fitted to be a high gloss black. The 21-inch wheels are black, but the customer has the option for red brake calipers.

Customers can also choose contrasting accents on the side skirts, splitter, and diffuser in Hallmark, Beluga, St James’ Red, or Cyber Yellow. Those colors can be matched on the interior, as well, with contrast stitching around those diamond-quilted seats. Or you could just keep everything black, like a Black Edition should be.
