Hmm I don't think I could get that feeling you describe from just one watch. I'd need to have at least three watches for different occasions. But for now a Speedmaster Pro would give me almost all I can ever ask for.

Hallelujah, finally we speak the truth. The Daytona is boring I have owned 30 + of them so I can give a proper opinion on the matter ! Day 1 your are excited all nice and shiny then by weeks end ..... The sub is by far the iconic sports watch and the best sports watch Rolex makes. Panerai are boring Grandfather clocks it is a re-invented brand that the Italian Military wore...Italian Military LOL... we see how they have done ... JK I have also owned about 25 of them so I can also preach on the matter.

I love my current AP when I get older its a Patek. I will always love the Sub and it will always be my goto watch in between other watch purchases.

Do you rob watch stores? I can't think of any reason why you would own 55+ of watches you really don't like.

I am leaning more toward the JLC, although I need to have a Patek at some stage

I trade alot, and never said I didn't like them. They have the allure but once you own them it wears off quickly. I was first wearing a SS Daytona in the mid 90's and throughout into around 2004 with with some trades in between then my first PAM was the 088 and I can go on from there..
