Harry Winston Opus 12

Seeming as the forum has been quiet, i was so impressed with this i thought i'd spark up some chatter about this magnificent piece.

To be honest HW have been releasing some ingenuitive and interesting pieces for quite a while but this one is simply phenomenal:

Agreed, it's a sharp looking watch. Sucks that I'm apparently too retarted to be able to tell time on it though.

GrayTT 07-23-2012 03:36 AM

That looks like one hell of a complicated watch!!!!
I likey

Blue large hand indicates the minute, blue shorter hand represents the hour...not difficult. The middle dial displays minutes 1 through 5 as the main dial only shows 5 minute incriments.

Love Harry Winston! They look like they are used to calculate time in a dimension at right angles to our own. :D

I love it for the complication and mechanical intricacy of what it is and does, but it's sort of a pain in the butt to actually read the time. I'd still rock one though, just to watch it tick. Same goes for just about every piece from Urwerk and MB&F.

yup the Opus line is just toooo awesome, every yr for the past 12 hw has been collaborating with an independent watchmaker to come up with one of these. of note is that their first opus was with fp journe and they made one with greuberl forsey that is spectacular (all 12 pcs are in their own way)

STOPPIE 07-23-2012 11:39 AM

holy crap that is one hot watch! Buy it Josh!

Marc 07-23-2012 11:40 AM

of the Entire OPUS series there have been 3 or 4 really great designs and they have continued (those pieces) to hold very good value.

They are usually all sold out well in advance.

I got the chance earlier this year to look at a few of their pieces close up and this was definitely my favorite. Truly an amazing timepiece!

Looks like a rotary piston engine.

SoCal 07-24-2012 12:09 AM

Haha, I was just thinking of that. It reminds me of a rotary engine as well. :)

parealtor 07-24-2012 12:35 AM

Funny I used to say that as well....look where it got me now...

Still haven't seen any pigs fly in my neighborhood yet.

I think your pockets are deeper than mine mate!

joshg120 07-25-2012 03:10 PM

My pockets would have to be quite deep to even think about buying a 250k car let alone watch

This is an awesome timepiece nonetheless, engineering behind it is fantastic
