Picked up a killer GULF strap, now need a watch to go with it.
 

SoCal (Raiff) knows what a huge fan I am of historic racing and the gulf livery cars in particular, so you can all imagine how excited I was when he sent me the link to these custom watch straps for sale on one of the watch forums.

I just ordered one of these in my size with a PVD buckle(not the watch pictured with it). Now to find the perfect watch to go with it. I am thinking something sporty that is also PVD coated, but am open to non-PVD watches. A this point, I am thinking the PAM 292 would go perfect, but it would be great if I can find something less expensive.

That is the most disgusting thing I have ever seen, it actually, somehow, manages to beat the bracelet on the IWC Portofino.

I love it, and do not plan to wear it as a daily. Again, I did not buy the watch pictured, only the strap.

I am still waiting for suggestions....

Mark (H20skier) suggested the B&R 03-92 blue in another thread. It also comes in orange. If the blue or orange are close to the shades in the strap, it could be the right piece.
