Watch purchases

In Europe to avoid told/taxes chrono24.com is an great site with lot of dealers and also private sellers. And by avoid I mean when I buy from, lets say from USA, there will be charged told and taxes upon the price when taking it in to Europe! I also take a look at watcnet.com, from there I purchased my Oris Ruf last summer!
But I bet you already know of this sites!

Forums can be a great place to buy a watch and get a deal, but you must be careful. This week there was a long thread on a few fake IWCs that were being sold on watchuseek. IMO it is worth the comfort to buy a used watch at a reputable jeweler.
As far as online sites, I am always looking at gemnation, luxury bazaar, and prestige time. These bnib grey market sites seem to be a good place to pick up a new watch at good discount, but I have no first hand experience.

What specifically are you looking for? We have many more pieces than what you see here. Most sites sell photos and then source the watch after you pay. Call or email and identify yourself and I will try to help you.

bought my Oris from Jomashop based upon recomendations from people here.
Quick service, great price. took it to a local Oris shop and guy said it was legit and even did the band adjustment for me. Even commented about their prices

Here is something you may be interested in. I look forward in the next few years to saving up and getting a more custom made watch. I have been blown away by dornbluth and sohn. They make watches in extremely small quantities (like 120 per year). They use base movements and decorate the shit out of them. Moreover you can customize fonts and colors, they do silvered dials, and even enamel (using old technique). I think I like an idea of a 99.3 or 99.4 with italics font and enamel dial. I love the hands the use too. The regulator is cool....
