Hamilton? Khaki or Jazzmaster Chrono?
Quality watches for a reasonable price (300 - 1100 euro's).

You might be able to pick up a used Omega Seamaster for that price.

Personally, though, the $200 to $1,000 range in watches is an area I don't think is worth treading. It's not enough to get anything *genuinely* decent, so you may as well buy something cheap, and save your money until you can get something more satisfying. JMHO.

Hamilton X-Wind or Tag F1

X-wind - Solid Automatic movement.

X-Wind FTW. Don't spend many hundreds on a quartz watch (a la that POS F1)

That x-wind looks awesome. May have to get that for myself.

Most "luxury" brands of watches depreciate like a 3 year old Audi.

I'm with Pmac, you should be able to get a nice Omega Seamaster for that price.

I have not been able to find that Hamilton for under $900 so am I just not looking in the right places or did we overshoot his budget???

Pick up 2-3 Nixons, so you'll have some variety. Good looking, fairly durable. They get way more compliments than either of my Panerais.
