so who is going to be the first watchmaker to do "white ceramic"? steel look, unscratchable
It's just so big and showy, it's like I have something to prove..oh well, I'm just a huge AP fan and have never had an offshore before.

DSSD today. I love this piece. Have barely worn anything else since getting it several months ago.

Not on my wrist but in my pocket today:

It belonged to my GF's great grandfather and she gave it to me yesterday to see what it would take to restore. At this point, I'm just planning to have the movement serviced, polish up the crystal, and leave the dial alone as I love the patina on it.

I may try to convert it to a wrist watch at some point...

just my 2 cents, but I'd say keep it a pocket watch, considering you know the historical value of the thing.

also, you have already tried to rock a pocket watch conversion with little success no?

so my oldest son wants one and I wanted to check out the hype on these things.

I sure don't like them on the wrist. Way too big for me.

I hear ya. I'll probably just leave it alone but I'd be more likely to use it as a wristwatch. Besides, the Hamilton conversion I had was a 47mm if I'm not mistaken and this one is a 42mm. Much more manageable size on my wrist.

In either case, first step is to get it serviced.

Rob Montana came through big time! One week from order to delivery. Great communication, very pleased with the outcome, fits perfect and just sets the watch off IMO.
