Do those lugs make it basically impossible for a strap change? It's supposed to look like a wire, but the size of the lugs in relation to the strap would suggest that there's a thin part in there that could be a springbar, right?

Looks great by the way, digging the WW1 look.

Vltsai- correct!
18mm strap width.
spring bar makes it easy to change.
If the loop in the strap was big enough you could possibly get a 20mm on.
very comfortable at 45mm, despite my skinny wrist!

18mm is a rare find these days.

I've got 18, 19 and 20mm lug watch, but most these days are 20+
