I like Parm's style and designs. Not familiar with the guts of their product but damn is their stuff nice.

I'm a big Mueller fan but find them very pricey. I would lean Roger Dubuis in that price range IMO.

Parmigiani make the Bugatti watches. Don't expect them to hold their value very well. The market for them is very small. They are fine watches though.

Im familiar with dubuis but have been told by several dealers they don't run worth a crap. Years ago they came out with a cool sympathy that I couldn't take my eyes off of. Almost all pieces 1 of 28.

This Parma was at an old PP dealer and it was a pretty cool 8 day. I wasn't 17k in love with it. Im sure I could take 35% off but still pretty spendy.

Ya I was shocked and always have been of the frank m pricing. I've always loved their Crazy Hours but these ones were huge. Probably 52mm tall and 35mm wide. They were about double what I thought they would be. My wife liked a couple of the ladies muellers.

Love crazy hours, but again - not quite sure I could justify price for it. Always look at it in the store next to my doctors office.

SoCal is an unknown quantity at this point
Yeah, I like both of those companies Mark, but neither would ever gain my business. I stick to the watches that I know hold their value, and that are tried and true quality-wise. Other than a Lum-Tec here and there, I won't buy any more "luxury" watches, except for the AP Diver I am after, plus an aftermarket strap or two.

Marc,

If you do decide to go for a Parm make sure you let me know as a friend of mine has a major hook up with the brand.

Personally I think each and every model is horrible and YBTT but you're a yank so you never know.

RD has changed ownership, i think they were aquired by the richmond group, quality issues have been "addresed", in the old days theyd break down within a year of their purchase and then ud have to send it to the factory on warrenty ofcourse and it would take 6months to come back,

they also stoped the limited to 21 or 28 edition tradition, thats only applied to their top end pieces now, i belive the number is at 88 for some and 160 for others

I know some of you guys don´t like quartz, nor am I, but I could not resist post a pic of a quartz, (on my wrist today) that my father gave me 1983. It´s a Seiko Connaisseur covered with leaf gold.
