JamVOX:and how I'll go missing during the day...

This is just cool...
JamVOX from... well... Vox, really sweet little tool that'll help my sorry tail get my chops back!

Ever since I hurt my left arm last year, I've lost coordination in my left hand, and have been putting off the long, slow march to getting back into guitar. This little piece of software just might be the ticket to getting those chops back.

Some might say that its over kill, but hey.... Its all about what motivates you to play right?!

I really like the notion of having a guitar nearby, and simply plugging it into my laptop, firing up any tune I have, and slowing it down enough to learn.

too complicated for me!

LOL!
Thats what I figured too...

But I had it figured out in less than 10 minutes.

Now... messing around with the amps and effects, thats one helluva way to lose some time.

Yes! Yes!
Thats what I meant! Ban Jox! :yahoo:

Or...
Ban Yox....

My little contribution to Swedish lingo... :D

Haha. So funny that you noticed that. Almost no Swedes seem to know the difference in pronunciation between J and Y.

One week in, and this app is worth every damn penny. It is a lot of fun, and a GREAT learning tool.

I'm using my guitar as a bit of rehab for my arm, and it has been a ton of fun just messing around with the tunes that were sent along with the app. Walk this way, Tush, Pride and Joy, Satch Boogie, all brought to life on my damn laptop, then I summarily destroy them at a reduce tempo...
But damn fun.

How much is it Brian? I've been looking for a good guitar-computer interface and this might be it. More so for recording than anything else.

Guitar Center has it for $250, as does American Musical Suppley (American Musical Supply-Musical Instruments, Guitars, Amps, Mics, Cables & Recording Studio Gear).

It is really user friendly. You're a better player than I by far, so I'm sure you'd enjoy it even more. It is great for recording too. It'll strip out the guitar track, and you can add yours in, then save.

Playing with all of the effects is a blast too.

Word. Yeah I'd buy it more for the effects than anything else it offers. I don't really need the stripping function, but the effects would save me alot of money.
