Buying a gun through personal sales

Hey guys,
I know people can sell guns to another person and do something like an FFL transfer if it's out of state. My question is are there gun forums or someplace I can go and look foe people selling them? I have a couple of specific handguns and a rifle I'm looking for.

ar 15 will be no nonsense sale, gunbroker is the ebay of firearms. I would go thru ar15 first then look at gunbroker...
