Knight's Armament Co SR-25 Battle Rifle

Since many of you have expressed interest in a 7.62/.308 AR-variant, you may want to also consider the KAC SR-25 Battle Rifle. The SR-25 is no longer just a sniper rifle:

Any particular reason this is twice as expensive as the LWRC and HK variants?

I love this rifle, but if I was going to spend that kind of money, I was buy an AI AW (<0.5 MOA) and an M4. Just my preference...

that was a fun class

Any gain to gripping the rifle like that or is it more of a personal preference type thing?

It's pretty stable since you've got a lot of distance between contact points (chest/grip/forend), but it's very awkward. When I say stable, I am referring to the platform (gun) not the shooter himself. If someone were to tug on that barrel, the dude would fall forward.

I'm sure some folks like that stuff, but the guys I know A) don't buy into the crouch or duck walk, B) don't trust KAC weapons, and C) shoot a whole lot more than anyone I know.

I like the SR-25, but if I had a choice, it'd either be an HK 417 or an M1A/M14 in 7.62mm.

I've got a thing for the M14 EBR. I really haven't thought about getting a hold of a DMR-type weapon except for that one.

Please explain, I am really curious.

No forward assist, are they going for the same design as my Sig 556?
