Barrett 6.8 vs. POF .308
 

I have a chance to acquire either, or both of these guns. Being new to the "tacticool" club , I thought I'd open up the floor for discussion of the pro's and cons of each ! Both guns are in demand, and have reputations as quality products. The only difference I've found is that 6.8 ammo seems a lot harder to find than .308. I'll be using the gun for AZ deer/elk hunts, and, of course, "zombie" patrol ! :spar:

I know nothing and have no experience at all about guns, but for some reason the Barrett really appeals to me. So I would choose the 6.8.

If you are hunting with it, get the 308.

The Barrett REC7 is a bad ass gun, but the .308 caliber might be more suited to your needs. If you don't buy the POF, put me on it and I'll buy it. :)

The Barrett is here! :welcome: The seller of the POF kept jacking up the $$$ - so I walked. Now, to find some 6.8 ammo, then off to the range.

Congrats. I've been trying to resist the urge to pick up a REC7 that I know is available. I only wish Barrett would have followed through and made the suppressor for them.
