First Episode of DRIVE's Inside Koenigsegg is Live http://static.ibsrv.net/autocomm/Con...pisode-one.jpg First Episode of DRIVE's Inside Koenigsegg is Live by John Coyle This is the first of eight episodes DRIVE will be releasing on the hypercar company, and it focuses on all the carbon fiber bits which go into making a Koenigsegg. Founder Christian Von Koenigsegg says more than 400 pieces of the light rigid stuff go into every car, and that no other company uses more of it. For such a gigantic bad ass, Koenigsegg seems pretty down to earth. Watch the episode below and stay tuned for the next installment. |
Awesome video. Cant wait to see the entire series. |
any idea how they're releasing them? once a day? once a week? a month? |
Dan Neil/The Wall Street Journal October 19, 2012 In short, the Agera R is the thing that eats bats out of hell. I am overawed. And yet, it does seem an unlikely obsession for the reserved and purposeful Christian von Koenigsegg. There had been some concern that Koenigsegg was in financial trouble, and Mr. Koenigsegg, 40, admits business could be easier. The European market has lately fallen off the Earth. With an annual turnover of about €10 million ($13 million), he says, on 12 to 15 cars, Koenigsegg's financial aspirations are modest and the business is, for the moment, stable. "We're never going to make a personal fortune," he says in his IKEA-decorated office, in a former air-force maintenance facility. "The only reason we are still here is we accepted we were going to be small." |
^^I believe he's asking about the video series, not the cars. They're releasing a new video every Tuesday. |
^correct. wish it could be daily, but guess this'll have to hold until chris harris comes back |
That is some pretty amazing craftsmanship. Those valve covers are stunning. |
Amazing parts and engineering. One thing i don't like regarding the video: the background music could have had a lower volume, not so intense |
And here's the second one! |
Man that suspension setup looks complicated. Interesting though. |
