Teamspeed Conversations with Jerod Shelby of Shelbysupercars

Welcome to our 2nd installment of Teamspeed Conversations! We are thrilled to present tonight a live chat with automotive visionary Jerod Shelby of the famed Shelbysupercars. Jerod will spend a few hours answering all your questions pertaining to his history, vision, the Ultimate Aero, and the upcoming SSC Supercar which we are all anxiously awaiting.

Shelby SuperCars (SSC) founder, Jerod Shelby, got an early start with his enthusiasm for performance vehicles. When Jerod Shelby was just seven years old, his dad came home with a Sears Fun Kart. He and his brother found themselves in trouble several times for driving their Kart on the streets of Richland, Washington, where they lived. Soon enough they began frequenting a local go kart track on Saturdays when it was closed. They would hop the fence with their kart and, when their dad got off of work, he'd join them. One day they went to the karting place and to their surprise the parking lot was full with cars and trailers. His dad still remembers the jaw-drop look on his sons' faces as they witnessed their first big race. The next week they joined the circuit, and Jerod's success on the track was remarkable.

Fast forward to Shelby SuperCars (SSC), an American supercar company founded in 1999 by automotive enthusiast, Jerod Shelby. SSC's headquarters in Tri-Cities, Washington, is also the hometown of Mr. Shelby and home to his dream. Fueled by his passion for racing and automotive culture SSC's success is a true representation of the American Dream.

SSC was created with the company goal of creating a world class automotive manufacturer. Seven years of development culminated in 2007 with the production of the Ultimate Aero. A major step in accomplishing the company goal was made on September 13th 2007 when the Ultimate Aero became the World's Fastest Production Car as verified by Guinness World Records.

Competing with the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bugatti, and Koenigsegg (to name a few), SSC has and continues to exponentially accelerate in its development and production of world class supercars. SSC will soon release a next generation supercar that will up the ante on all levels.

And without further adieu, I'll turn this over to Jerod and Junus from SSC.
