I must say it, the bidder who put 500k on the table must be nuts... the car dont work and will prob cost you LOADS more to restore since it will most likly need to replace 50% or more

Last I heard was that he was paid at least $2 million in insurance and went out to buy another Veyron. And I am also pretty sure that he ran it into the lake on purpose just to claim insurance in excess of the value of the car. Correct me if i'm wrong

Yeah this guy definitely got busted for insurance fraud and I'm pretty sure he's in prison.

No he's not in jail. The insurance co is suing him. He also owns the Eddie Griffith Enzo. Shady guy for sure.

Car was auctioned by RM in Monterey in 2010:

He owned it prior to that and I'm not certain he was the one who entered it into the auction. He may have passed it on to someone else prior.
