Dwight Howard will be a Laker

Apparently, an imminent trade will go down soon whereby Dwight Howard is essentially traded to the Lakers for Andrew Bynum. The Nuggets and Sixers are also involved.

I think this move, along with the aquisition of Nash and Jamison, will make the Lakers a legitimate title contender. The potential match-ups in next year's playoffs will wonderful to watch.

The rich gets richer.

I am really surprised that Bynum did't go to Orlando.

As a huge laker fan, I am not that excited. The way he has been handling himself lately just turns me off. I know it will be fine once the season starts but I am apprehensive. Bynum was no class act either but at least we knew what we were going to get with him.....if he constantly gets the ball he will play hard if he doesn't get the ball he just checks himself out.
I hope they did not get rid off Gasol along with Bynum.

Lakers forward Pau Gasol had been in and out of talks, sources told Shelburne, before ultimately being excluded.
According to ESPN, he is staying put.

Allen to Miami had to suck as a Celtic fan, this must further the pain.

Boston was a little bullsh!t at Ray for doing that. We offered stupid money and other things for him to stay but word has it he got pissed because the offer came late and was after we have big contracts to other players before him.

as a heat fan, this makes me nervous..

JonA85 08-10-2012 11:20 AM

^^ why?

^ Miami needs a Westbrook or a Nash, someone at that can run the point as well as one of those two. Lakers with that lineup will be extremely tough to beat. If Jackson was still the coach, unstoppable.
