First off, huge congrats to the Mavericks for beating the pants off the Lakers. Well deserved series win and I really hope they go all the way. Mark Cuban is a controversial figure at times, but he is great for the NBA and owners like him deserve to win championships.

As for the Lakers, I never saw this one coming...at least to this extent. Shades of 2004 all over again in certain respects. It will be interesting to see how things shake out with the Lakers in the off season.

 

...also, from what I have read, there is no excuse for the complete lack of sportmanship shown by the Lakers in the last game.

Perhaps its a blessing in disguise that I was only able to catch bits and pieces of the series on my iPad Slingbox app while on vacation.

We all know you're a true Lakers fan, E. So I think it is a blessing you didn't have to watch game four.

Will knowing the Lakers are out give the C's a boost? Or will it make us think, DAMN, how the hell can you beat a team that SWEPT the Lakers?

Weird finals. Great to see some new blood I guess?
