Lawrence Taylor Charged With Raping 16-Year Old Girl

If true, this is some really sad stuff.

sure he may have been the best linebacker of all time, but he has never been a citizen

or father or decent human.

if this is true, they are going to have a field day with him in prison.

I was an avid Giant fan for most of my life. Met LT a few times. Was a huge fan of what he did on the field. Teams had to change their whole game to deal with him. Carson was the true man. Not only was he a stellar linebacker, but a soft spoken gentleman as well. Sad to see LT reach such a low. However, I would say it is not surprising at all.

LT wasn't a linebacker, he was a defensive end.

He was the greatest defensive player in NFL history. Truly game changing.

I heard Bill Parcells - his former coach in New York during their 2 Super Bowl wins - say that he "failed" with LT. He made him the greatest player of all time, but never made him a great man.

Truly a sad story.

Truly sad that it takes a Coach and not a parent to realize someone has failed. I totally agree Dana

Taken just before he was charged

brnsrgn 05-07-2010 12:53 PM

uh, he was a linebacker, not an end.
Leonard Marshall was the DE with him.

In 1986:
D Line was George Martin/Eric Dorsey, Erik Howard, and Leonard Marshall
Starting LB's were Taylor, Carl Banks, Harry Carson, Pepper Johnson
Probably the best 3-4 lineup ever.

Aren't lawyers supposed to be precise ;-)
