What is it worth, Opus One
I was hoping someone up to date with wine prices could help me, my father has collected wine ever since I was born. He is moving and has four cases of Opus One, 79/80 split case, 81, 82 and 83. He is trying to price them to sell. He is the original owner, they have never been cracked, stored in wine cellar entire life.

"Retail" on those would likely be around $200 a bottle, so unless you can find an individual looking for them you are probably looking at +/- $100 - $125 a bottle selling to a dealer and he'll be taking a risk at that price. The big risk with a 30 year old wine is demonstrating how it has been stored during that entire period. The good news is that you have a major, recognized name brand which may attract people new to collecting wine looking to put some older well known bottles in their cellar.
However, as folks have said you are nearing the end of the window for drink-ability of those wines. We had an 'open that bottle' night last month where wines were shown between 1976 and 2005. The California wines from the 90's were really singing. The wines from the 80's were pretty tired and the wines from the late 70's were an interesting diversion but none of them could have been described as good.
