Pictures from my visit to the Porsche Museum - Spring 2011 On our recent trip to Europe, I was able to talk my wife into a little side trip to the Porsche museum in Stuttgart. Such an amazing place that is set in an architecturally stunning building with emphasis for the exhibits being on the machines themselves. I am a huge fan of vintage race cars, especially vintage 9 series Porsche racers so needless to say, I was in heaven. Also being a fan of 356's and early 911's, seeing so many variants in both street and race trim was the icing on the cake. I took these pics with my wy wife's Coolpix, point and shoot, so I apologize in advance for the poor quality of the pictures. I hope the pics capture some of the sheer engineering beauty that lies within each one of these amazing machines. If you are a Porsche fan and have not visited the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, then this is aimple a "must see." Words cannot describe what it is like being among so many iconic cars, each of them maintained in perfect working condition. I was told by one of the museum directors that every car there is kept in perfect running condition and are driven regularly. Even the 917/30 and the unbelievable 1948 "Porsche Number 1".
