Renault Complains About Hamilton's Weaving In Malaysia

Interesting. I thought that the fight between Petrov and Lewis was one of the highlights of a great race. Once again, F1 has an identity crisis.

I was waiting for this....he did break the rule ideed, but as he is on my team it's ok ;o)

Big fa of Hamilton here but what he did was stupid, weaving like this is not allowed in F1 for a reason, its Dangerous, you are only allowed to change your direction 1 time to counter an attempt of over taking, but that was plain stupid.

Strictly speaking he didn't break the 'rules', hence no penalty.

The 'one blocking move' rule actually isn't a rule, it's the GPDA's self imposed code of conduct.

Still though it was poor form.

I was very impressed by Petrov's speed and guts this weekend. He has every right to be upset. I'm a bit surprised the stewards didn't give Lewis a drive-through penalty or something for that move but I'm glad they didn't or else I probably would've finished with negative points in the fantasy league!

Lewis had nothing to lose with that move.

If Petrov gets by him, he would have been stuck behind bad air and never made the big move into the top 10 like he did.

I love what total desperation will make a driver do!

All complaining aside....quite a few of the 'new drivers' are looking pretty good.. Petrov has been surprising me alot

I had this discussion while we were watching the race. Petrov wasn't actively trying to pass him at that moment. Had he been pulling out of the draft to pass Hamilton, I'd see the point, but at the time, Petrov was reacting to Hamilton's move, not the other way around. It was a bit poor form, but I don't think it was dirty driving, as it posed no risk to Petrov (beyond the risk inherent in belting down a racetrack at 200mph in a pretty much untested race car...).

I don't like Lewis as everybody knows but in all honesty it was fine, not only fine it was a highlight of the race, here's to more of the same in the rest of the season

Indeed Lewis broke a rule, but complaining about it when it didn't really hurt your race is kinda stupid.
