Seven time World Champion Michael Schumacher is not likely to replace Felipe Massa at Ferrari, according to the German's manager. Following Massa's bizarre incident in Saturday's qualifying session at the Hungaroring, speculation has started regarding the Brazilian's replacement, whom is likely to be for the remainder of the season.

According to Schumacher's manager, Willi Weber, who was present at the Hungaroring, Michael Schumacher is not an option for Ferrari to replace Massa.

"This is only speculation," Weber commented. "I heard these rumours on Saturday evening but I don't see it happening; Ferrari already has two very good spare drivers who will both be keen to race when the opportunity is there."

The couple of drivers in question are Italian Luca Badoer and Spain's Marc Gené.

Though you know he wants to. It would be awesome to see how Schumi would do having been out of the seat for so long.

+1. I think Ferrari would be better off developing one of their test drivers though.

huh? this isn't red bull buddy. ferrari's test drivers are 34 and 37 if i recall correctly. not exactly drivers that would need development. ferrari doesn't really have a young driver program.

That's a good point. I just want to see how they'd do on the track with the other drivers in a real race.

Schumi back behind the wheel would be insane.

I just read something on the BBC today that said Schumi had not discounted the possibility and that if Ferrari asked he would consider it.

Domenicalli said that he wasn't going to rule out the option of bringing the Schumi back. I really hope he does, I think the guy could get back in the car and be near the front in one race.

Schumacher back would be so cool, but they probably go with Gené
