Doesn't Senna Have The Answer? Damn. I meant to say "Senna" not "Massa." Freudian slip??? Anyway . . . Aren't the statements by Senna the answer to all of this bickering about Hamilton at Spa?? YouTube - Ayrton Senna interviewed by Jackie Stewart All of this talk about Hamilton making "better decisions" or being "too optimisitic" seems like true tuesday-morning quarterbacking at its worst. These drivers have to make split-second decisions. Who knows if there will be another opportunity "on the next straight." That is too cerebral and is one of the problems with F1 - IMHO of course. "When you see a gap, you take it . . ." End of story. |
Race to win today and you end-up with the stewards stripping you of your hard-fought victory. :shakesheadindisgust: |
He'd definately right. Easy to judge when you are not in the hot seat... |
The most angering thing is that it wasn't just a split second decision. Ron Dennis confirmed with the race director even after the pass that Lewis had allowed Kimi sufficient space in front of him and they said yes. They continued forth with the most accurate course of action based on the information that they had during the race, and they were penalized for it afterwards. Seems like after this each team will have to have a dedicated person on the pit wall to read the minds of the stewards. Screw engine development and aero advancements, it is going to be about mind reading now. |
