Why shouldn't I get a 10D?
 

Okay, I like my Sony R1, but some unnatural behaviors (especially re: depth of field) and the impossibility to change lenses are pushing me towards SLR world. Canon, since all my friends have Canon camera and gear.

And I'd rather save my $$$ on the body to spend it on lenses.
Checked ebay ... 350$ for a 10D, sure the 40D has live view and other fancy stuff ... but in terms of picture sharpness and colour, grainyness (or lack thereof) and such ... I've shot a 10D last week and the pics look absolutely fine (had a great lens that probably helped). So is there a good reason to fork out an extra 650$ for a fancier camera?

Unless someone has a 1D for 350$ ... :lol:
