New York City Poker Run Returns in June

Mark your calendar. The prestigious New York City Powerboat Poker Run will take place on the Hudson River once again on June 14. The event, filmed and broadcast internationally, will feature more than 175 performance boats and cruisers in what has become one of the largest boating events in the country.

The National Powerboat Association, headquartered at Liberty Landing Marina in New Jersey's Liberty State Park, will host the festivities, which include boating concessions, a powerboat show, live entertainment and dancing.

For the main event, the fleet will leave from Liberty Landing Marina and complete a 75-mile course. The venue boats beautiful views of Lower Manhattan's Financial District, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.

The poker run will feature an inaugural ceremony to award and recognize Hall of Fame Inductees for 2008, 2009 and 2010 in the National Powerboat Association's "Offshore Powerboat Racing Champions." The public is invited to vote for their favorite driver, throttleman and navigator.
