Exotics at Redmond Town Center for September 17- Rainout?
Hi Everyone!
It's not looking so good for E@RTC this coming Saturday. We will call it on Friday. For those new to us, we call it off if the weather is 30% chance of rain or higher on the average of the sites we check. Weatherunderground seems to be the most reliable. We also check with NOAA.
We've had a new record run of twelve Saturdays in a row without rain so it's been a good season after a slow start. With those twelve weeks we've watched E@RTC grow, week in and week out and last Saturday's turnout was well over 110 cars at our last count and hundreds of spectators. Thank you!!!!
We will have the Aventador on the next nice day and we will keep you posted. A giant thanks to all the Model A owners who came out last Saturday. That was a lot of fun to see! Once again, a giant thanks to all of you who bring out your cars each Saturday. We continue to get notes of gratitude from spectators who are grateful for your participation. Thank you for getting the sprit of the event; that E@RTC is about sharing our passion with those who love these cars.
This season has been especially fun for me because of our great core of volunteers who show up week after week in good cheer and mange to put up with occasional grief from those who think their car grants some special entitlement. We get less and less with the passing months and so we're thankful that so many in the car community understand what E@RTC is all about. We've had an amazing season for sure!
Now that we're getting into fall, we have just nine Saturdays to go before we're done for the season. Of those nine about half will be rained out so don't miss the remaining days. We still anticipate one or two more surprises before we warp up for the season.
