A Good Naked I'm wanting to grab one as a second bike. Was thinking Aprilia Shiver 750, but the nearest dealer is about two and a half hours away from me. So, I'm kinda forced to think Honda, Yamaha (I really like the FZ8), Suzuki, or Kawasaki. I'm wanting something between 650 and 800cc. Any help or opinions would be appreciated since I'm new to this world of bikes. |
Even though it's a bit over your cc range, go for a Streetfighter 848 |
Well price is a factor also. Want to stay under $8K. And same thing with Ducati as with Aprilia, no dealers remotely near me. |
Dono about US pricing but have you looked at the BMWs (k800r or F800GS) what about the Triumph Tiger 800 or one the Triples... |
Triumph's look amazing, but both BMW and Triumph dealers are 100+ miles away. That sucks. |
You have to move out of the boonies... |
Haha, the bad part is I did. |
I had the pleasure of owning and riding this bike last year: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-jYMcpt53Gw.../suzuki+13.jpg The Suzuki GSR 750. It rode great, and from 2012 and forward it comes with ABS as well. It cant compare to the Ducati or MV Augusta and stuff like that, but for everyday riding, it is a really enjoyable machine. Oh, and it is nowhere near as expensive as some of the high end stuff - both in buying price and running cost terms. There really are a lot of great naked bikes out there to choose from, but i think you should go ahead and start with finding out how big of an engine you want, narrow it down from that, and then choose the one you like the most. |
1 Attachment(s) Streetfighter 848....but I'm biased |
