I've been patient long enough...let the mods begin!!

It's coming up on 8 months since I got the BOSS and 2,000 amazing miles later I can safely say that this car isn't going anywhere.I originally thought that I would replace the BOSS with a GT3 after a couple years, but I can never see myself parting with this car. That being said, I've decided to start perfecting the car a little bit more.

I plan on starting by focusing on the suspension. I've narrowed it down to the Eibach Multi-Pro R2 setup unless anyone can provide any other good options that are worth looking into...

I've also decided to go down to an 18" BBS wheel with a little more rubber that I think fits the car a bit better. I'll likely go with a Toyo R888 setup or Hoosier R6's with 275 or 285's on all 4 corners. I don't drive it in the rain and it never rains here so I don't car about the wet. Also, the cars biggest flaw is putting the power down, so these tires would go a long way to helping that. Here is a pic of the wheel and tire setup off a BOSS 302S..

I'm also planning on topping off round 1 of mods with a roll bar made by Cool-Tech (they make parts just for BOSS and GT).

From what I read, those parts should stiffen the car up nicely and also shave some nice weight. Rear seat delete and bar offset, but wheels are 20lbs lighter at each corner.

I'm new to Ford, so opinions are appreciated, but please for the love of god keep the Ford vs. Chevy bullshit out of here .

I was never a fan of Eibach full suspension setups, I've had their springs and they were good but I can't get over my personal stereotype that they are mid level. I don't know if KW makes a coilover setup or perhaps Tein. If I could go with any suspension I'd go full Tein with EDFC that will allow you to change suspension settings easily within the car or as mentioned KW V3. Perhaps if you listed a few more suspension providers I could get a more accurate feel. I don't have a lot of experience with the current modern retro Stangs, but I built a very good 2004 GT with full suspension, vortech supercharger and other bolt ons.

Man that orange Boss looks sweet! I thought my 07 Saleen PJ was the best looking new gen Mustang until I saw that one. Nice. Have
fun with the mods.-PJ

Tein is garbage unless you've never heard of damping, in which case the tooth-breaking brittle ride is fine... I'd go with H&R or KW over Eibach, Pete. What's your suspension budget? That'll determine your best options.

Great stuff Pete! Can't wait to see how it all turns out. Excellent choice of wheels/tires. Any other plans for The BOSS like sway bars or anything?

can't go wrong with a set of kw v3's...

You mention the car has trouble putting the power down, with the new tire set-up do you plan on doing any engine modifications? Something like cams/ intake/tune, I've read good things about the JMS tune for the Boss.
