Cool. But didn't he basically do what he laughed at the previous record holder for doing (i.e. big donuts).

I would've gotten bored about 1/4 of the way into that.

According to him the previous record wasn't technically a 'drift'. Then he goes out and does the same thing?

... which is exactly what he did. If you're going around in circles, it's a donut. :oh2:

If he'd done a series of reversing direction esses down a runway or something, it would have been a more honest powerslide IMO, but it wouldn't have met the record definition. So, he did the same thing the guy he was talking crap about did.

Well, that sucked.

And let's not even get into the concept of "drifting" as a sport. I might be getting old but I cannot see the point. It's kind of like sitting with your feet on the toilet seat crouching while having a crap. It makes a lot of noise, it's relatively tricky for a first-timer to balance properly and lastly, people aged 3-12 find it very amusing because it smells bad.
