355 Challenge is home...
Last year I bought a 355 Challenge, one of the factory delivered first year race cars that has subsequently been road registered here in the UK. I had her changed to white from a much too bright mid blue, rebuilt the gear box and fitted news seats, brakes, belts etc. On Monday I took her to Silverstone for a shake down and a bedding in session. Car went well although it needs a new alternator and a few other bits and pieces and some set up work which will wait until it is running on slicks not the Pirelli Corsas it is on for the road. Its a lovely thing and I think it looks great in its new colours, drew a lot of admiration in a pitlane stuffed with exotica and million pound classics.
Plan is to race it a bit in the Ferrari Open and rent it out for Ferrari Experience type days and hot laps (a taxi if you will), reflected in its new registration number: TXI 355:) |
