I would only agree that the car itself is art. Whatever that is, it's like painting a mustache on the Mona Lisa.

Peleton25

Don't be so cruel and direct them to that little known and barely posted thread on Pistonheads

Yeah - if you want to get to know the car and its owner, there's a 386 page thread dating back to 2007 on PistonHeads.com.

Flemke - Is this your McLaren? (Vol 4)

Don't take the doodle on the bonnet (or yourself) too seriously and I think you will find you either don't care that it is there, or you'll learn to appreciate it.

Atkinson's car is burgundy and has the stock flat silver wheels. His car was featured on Top Gear when they raced an F1 against a Veyron.

I didn't mean it that way. Everyone can form their own conclusions. I was just trying to offer a bit of aged wisdom. At the end of the day it is his $3M+ car and the bonnet could be resprayed in an afternoon if he wanted to lose the doodle.

I like all of it, but the wheel locknuts. Would've gone gold instead of red and blue.

Anyone else notice the 993RS steering wheel (besides you Peloton25, you can't answer! )? Took me a while to figure out what was different.

You already know this Zamirz, but he wanted to copy the McLaren Le Mans cars, they are the exact shade or something.

Not just that, but it is quite traditional for racing cars to have a deviation in the color of the lock nuts so you can quickly tell left from right.

The Carrera GT had that same 'feature'.
