I was in love with this mclaren since presentation september 2009 and now more and more

Will be an interesting battle for porsche,lambo & ferrari

Now that I've seen it in papaya I'm really starting to fall in love. It's just something about the brand McLaren that makes me want it - badly...

I wonder what it weighs? I bet less than 2500 lbs....wow.

So far McLaren have published a dry weight figure of 2,866 lbs. I expect the final curb weight will be slightly over 3,000 lbs.

In the dry weight category it has a 176 lb advantage over the 458 Italia's 3,042 lbs so that's a good start.

Black looks awesome on this car. I can't decide if I like black or papaya orange better!

Anyone know what this will cost in the US? IIRC, it was going to be around $200K. I am looking forward to seeing it in person. I'm not sold on the orange colors... I'm thinking a darker color with a cool interior (red, blue, oxblood, etc.) would look better.

July 4 McLaren press release says base MSRP will be $225,000 - $250,000 with the final price expected to be released in September.

McLaren will be displaying the MP4-12C at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance on August 15, then tour North America to support events held by dealer candidates. Product launch in summer 2011.

6 of the 10 dealers have been announced:
· McLaren Beverly Hills: The Auto Gallery
· McLaren Chicago: Lake Forest Sportscars
· McLaren Dallas: Park Place
· McLaren Greenwich: Miller Motorcars
· McLaren San Francisco: Price Family Dealerships
· McLaren Tampa Bay: Dew Luxury Motor Cars
