I loved watching the Drag race between the Bugatti and Mac F1 on BBC Top Gear in the Middle East. Hammond.was driving the Bugatti and the Stig was driving the McLaren.
Just absolutely love how Hammond.flipped out that the F1 grabbed a while shot on the Bugatti and he COULD NOT BELIEVE IT. Like God made the Bugatti out of Manna from Heaven and.it was not able to be beaten. Even though the Bugatti did win the 1-mile drag but for most of us here posting in this forum would much, much rather take the McLaren F1 home because it, to us, is a better car. You feel more plugged into it and is more of an extension of your body. While the Bugatti feels more like a Video Game Fighter. Kind of a much more expensive iteration of the Nissan Skyline/GTR in those regards. Don't get me wrong I still like the Bugatti.
But when it comes down to it, there is a reason why Hammond mentioned that the McLaren F1 was worth £2 compared to the Bugatti's £1!
There is a reason for the price difference. Even though I think I saw 8 or 9 Bugattis at Quail Lodge/Pebble Beach vs just 1 McLaren F1 outside of the McLaren's Companies Display.
Kudos to McLaren and the F1 it continues to be my number 1 Super Car, even ahead of the Auto Union Type C. Even though that last one you couldnt really go to a dealer and buy.
Salutations.
