Ulysse Nardin maxi marine 43mm chronometer-opinions?

Just considering getting a nice watch, I have always loved this particular watch and just wanted to see what you chaps on here thought of it.

Also a consideration is the Ulysse Nardin executive dual time

UN makes a nice watch, but their designs in general do not sit well with me in general. I think there are better watches IMO in this price range than a UN. BUT you should always wear what you like and if you do not like it, there is always someone who will buy it from you. Just buy it "right" so you do not get killed if you flip it.

I wouldn't want one, but my watch tastes lean toward things I can hammer a nail with or wear in Iraq.

Haha, no I am not a senior in Miami yes, well watches it seems just seem to be a very personal thing, what one person likes another person hates, hence why there are so many types and variations. Now like the look of the Breitling Superocean 46 with the mesh bracelet in black, think it may be the one I get......

That is a sharp watch, especially on the mesh. It drives me nuts that for a dive watch it does not have pip lume on the bezel. Bad oversight IMO. BUT that is just a small personal thing, the watch is gorgeous. I also think they make the best mesh, no other mesh can be adjusted as easily, very well thought out.

I am a big fan of that chronometer- the gold specifically. It looks very handsome with a blue strap.

Sorry I'm not the best with my watch jargon- pip lume? Off to Wimbledon in a month or so, so will combine it with a shopping trip in London
