Speculations call for the halo car to be badged as the M8, although nothing is confirmed. Automobile notes that BMW Chairman Norbert Reithofer views this project with mixed feelings and is reluctant to green light the V-8-powered super-car. They go on to state that Friedrich Nitschke, who runs the M division, won't take no for an answer and will make the necessary adjustments needed to get the car to production.
