20 M5 exhaust options? My soon to be brother in law has black/black MT M5. He is wanting to do exhaust and I don't know what sounds best on them. I've read the tubi looses power. Doesn't have to be racecar loud, but fun to row the gears in. And are any sponsors on here available to get me prices. A pm would be great, thanks. Car is located in Chicago and could possibly be installed there if there is a sponsor shop up there. Thanks in advance, I'm a newbie to newer bmw's |
Damn it, I texted him to findthe year and hit post on my phone. I think it's an 2008 |
Year doesn't matter. Is it an E39 or E60? If the latter, Eisenmann Race /thread. |

If it's a 08 than it's a e60...Go with Rpi! It sounds so good on a M5! |
Tubi Rumore. |

Meisterschaft GT2 for the record, i had a mildly modified 08 6 speed. i actually ended up with a custom exhaust. |
Getting a great exhaust sound out of an E60 M5 has proven to be a big challenge. In theory, a high-revving V10 should sound incredible, and for the CGT, that was clearly not a problem, but every M5 I ever heard was either stock, which sounds good, but too quiet, or had some aftermarket thing that was way too loud, and sounded like crap. The Tubi Rumore sounded nice, but it's way expensive. RPI had a nice option, too, but the Eisenmann Race is awful (IMHO). I've never heard one that sounded like it ought to (muscley, exotic, complex, growly at low rpm, and like an F1 car at high rpm) |
