M3 Akrapovic Exhaust I just installed my Akrapovic exhaust at a friends shop this weekend. Those of you who are familiar with the name Akrapovic know that they make some of the finest titanium motorcycle available. When I heard they made a full titanium exhaust for the M3, based on my experience with their product in the motorcycle world, I decided that would be the way to go. Overall, I am very happy with this exhaust. The quality and construction are amazing. The sound is perfect for me, since I didn't want something that was going to be too loud for a daily driven car. We did some before and after dyno runs as well. The dyno is a Dyno Dynamics, so the numbers read a little low compared to others, but the car picked up 16 hp and 21 ft/lb tq at the wheels. http://www.3dementia.com/M3/M3Dyno2.jpg http://www.3dementia.com/M3/DSCN0266r.jpg http://www.3dementia.com/M3/DSCN0267r.jpg http://www.3dementia.com/M3/DSCN0268r.jpg http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j7...s/IMG_8108.jpg This image taken by mikewads@m3post YouTube - E92 M3 Akrapovic Evolution Exhaust |
can't see the video (company firewall)... looks sweet though. What's with the inconsistent power between 2500-3500 RPM? EDIT: how much weight does this save? |
My understanding is that since it is a load bearing dyno, as it is loading, you see some spikes. |
Full Ti, right? VERY nice. |
