Moving to Colombia.

Moving to Bogota, CO!
Anyone on here live there or have insight on driving a Porsche there.. Im thinking of trading in my Panamera for a Cayenne.. Is a Porsche to flashy down there. Any advice? Should I just get a 4runner.

Thanks!

I wouldn't drive anything flashier than a C-Class or A4 in Bogota. Traffic is nutty. I saw a few really nice cars there during my travels, but they are few and far between. Better off saving the money and spending it on nice clothes, a good place to live, etc. That seems to matter MUCH more than a car in Bogota. A Cayenne would be the best choice if you do drive a Porsche down there. I'd also go with a Range Rover, but keep in mind, the streets are often narrower and much more crowded than in the US.

Not sure if the rules/laws/taxes are the same but in Ecuador you get a HUGE tax break when your buy a Hybrid vehicle.....aka....Cayenne S Hybrid would be my pick. A bunch were running around Quito when i was there. By far the "most common" lux car i saw.

Thanks guys, I have to keep the car I take under 50k. I think I will see what my local Porsche dealers can offer me and if I find a good deal.

No advice to give, but my friend just came back from Bogota and loved the hell out of it.

I wish I had seen this before, Bogota has really crappy roads but you can find quite an array of exotics down there. My uncle drives a granturismo.

For $50K you will not find much, maybe an older cayenne, as you can see the cheapest porsche is a cayenne and it is roughly USD $53K

I met the dealer a few years ago in Houston, a super nice guy.
Have fun! I heard Colombia is now one of the safest places in South America. Can't wait to visit.
