I'd love to see some of the members's 300ZXs posted here! Here are a couple of crappy pics of my baby:

It's like a Lotus Esprit humped a Gen.III Camaro.

Beautiful.

egonitron 07-13-2012 06:31 PM

haha thanks. It's a 1991 300ZX Twin Turbo, about 400 RWHP, trying to get it to 550 eventually. Love this car - RWD, no electronic nannies apart from four-wheel-steering. The paint is actually the stock yellow with about four coats of white pearl on top. Changes color depending on light. Volk Racing wheels. A lot planned, pending money and time :)

I had an 86 300zx a long time ago... It was a fun car at the time.

I had a red 1992 TT when I was in high school and loved it, but hated how you had to crank the passenger seat to lean it back (C@ck blocked me a couple times).

So your alone in ownership. Congrats.

Never did, but it was high on my want list in the early 90's. I remember wondering how it would feel to experience a car that could do 0-60 in 5.6 seconds. It reminds me of how fast everything is now. This and the Stealth and the Mitsubishi were all the faster cars, all turbos and all 0-60 in 5.6 sec.
Now we expect our SUV's and station wagons to be at 60 within 4 seconds.
I wonder if all the porsche fans on forums, back then, were bashing the 300zx as we do the GTR now, that would be hilarious in that people hardly change.

Member and friend of mine on here 'stunningcharles' has a nice red one that he got last summer. I'll ask if he can post some pics or I'll try to find some myself.

burnzie 07-16-2012 11:00 AM

Giving it some TLC at my place the day after he got it. It came with a Stillen exhaust already installed, so loud.

Wow! You learn something new everyday. I did not know that it was four wheel steering. I used to dream about that car back in my younger years.

disagreed. I drove my first modded GTR. As a Pcar guy I will clearly state it was silly fun, easily 60/120 in fourish. What can be done with a GTR is serious. I don't want one, but I'll respect it.

adamls2 07-17-2012 12:25 AM

Went to my local cars and coffee last Saturday and saw a LT1 swapped 300zx with a single turbo (forgot the size) and a th300. Wish i'd taken a pic!!
