Nissan reveals 370Z GT Edition
Nissan launches special edition 370Z GT to celebrate 40 years of Z cars in the UK, with revised suspension and extra kit.

Built to celebrate Nissan's global racing success and mark the 40th anniversary of Z cars on British roads, the new 370Z GT Edition promises to be the best handling version yet. Inspired by its 1970s forebearer, the newcomer features a set of eye-catching racing stripes down both sides, darker 19-inch RAYS alloys, and a trio of special paint finishes - Pearl White, Kuro Black and Black Rose.

Extra kit for the GT Edition includes a reversing camera that appears in the sat-nav screen and a new tyre pressure monitoring system, as well as a new 'snow' setting for the seven-speed automatic gearbox, which sets the car off in second gear and controls engine revs, to prevent spinning the wheels in slippery conditions.

However changes aren't purely cosmetic - the latest addition to the line-up has been fettled by Nissan's UK engineers, who have retuned the dampers to help provide "the ideal balance the ride comfort and high-speed handling" and added underfloor insulation to help increase refinement.

The newcomer is available to order now, with the first deliveries expected in June. Prices start at £35,000 - around £2,150 more than the standard GT Pack automatic.

Much better than NISMO.... Clean and classy not ricey and trashy

The back end goes just a little too high IMO on the 70. Still a good-looking car, and this is definitely a neat trim.

Love the car but Nissan needs to redesign that front end + head lights. New Z?? Now this would look HOT !

This is my favorite contemporary Z car:

I'm really a big fan of the 370Z - the lights took a while to grow on me, but it's just a great-looking ride. An awesome trio would be a 370Z 40th, Evo IX MR, and an AP2 S2000.

They really seem to be a great all-around car, would definitely enjoy one as a daily driver. The looks also took a while to grow on me but once you see one in person they really look good.

@ Speed Showcase: I think that design ressembles mazda styling way too much.

Upgraded suspension seems cool but I was hoping they'd at least put it on a diet. There isn't really anything in this version that I'd pay extra for over a regular model and lack of a 6spd m/t option is disappointing. I like the 370z, but for the price I'd rather get a 40th anniv edition with coilovers and a nice exhaust system.
