Isn't this thread about a year too late?!?!?!?!

Alzilla 01-20-2011 10:09 PM

Are they even available to the public yet?

gmaccormack 01-20-2011 10:11 PM

Here read dis Jalopnik: Obsessed With The Cult Of Cars

Alzilla 01-20-2011 10:21 PM

^^^Ah I missed that.

I hate to admit it but that silver one actually looks pretty good.

IIVVX 01-20-2011 11:17 PM

lets not get it twisted, its a badass ride. very bespoke. just too limited and not priced right. if they were smart they would make use of that motor in something else.

Like an Esprit (a real one..not like the made-up cars Lotus is pitching right now)

gmaccormack 01-20-2011 11:30 PM

I remember reading that Subaru was designing a super car around that block. But that was a few months ago and I haven't herd anything else about it

Barrister 01-20-2011 11:30 PM

This car would have to be the crowning piece of an already full collection of ricers.

IIVVX 01-20-2011 11:34 PM

lol

Mini George 01-20-2011 11:41 PM

I don't see what you get with this car besides a cool name.

bavmtrwrksftw 01-21-2011 03:03 PM

^ lol this

Smoky 01-21-2011 03:17 PM

Evo magazine loved the lfa during their ecoty test, which means a lot to me because those guys are kinda picky. I think if it were under $200k then people would have a different impression.

STOPPIE 01-21-2011 03:34 PM

After staring at this blender for months now, I must admit that the white is very hot looking and I'm warming up to the interior. The sounds this car make are just rediculously sexy.

I just HATE Lexus as they know more about serving up lame, boring 'old person' rides then they do true sports cars. Shoot, even their commercials are JUST PLAIN DUMB- causing a glass to shatter due to exhaust note?

How about Mr GT2RS shatter that glass in your LFA eyeball when he bitch slaps your 0-100mph and smokes you every where else

FOR HALF the money!

And if you don't want a Porsche, GO get a 458. The REAL EXOTIC compared to the LF-A.

LOL@LF-A

stuka 01-21-2011 03:49 PM

^^^

Truth.:golfclap:

dmanero 01-24-2011 11:04 PM

why hate the car, the engine noise alone is enough to fall in love with it. The interior and dash setup is a work of art.ok so the exterior is a bit extreme, but still is beautiful. Though I wish it was a around the same price range as the 458.

and as for that comment that it owned my my mother, please only little kids are stupid enough to use that line. now that my friend is childish.

The exhaust and cool technology, other than that you are correct.

ShutterSpeed 01-25-2011 01:09 AM

That silver car might just have changed my mind on the LFA. I just can't get over the fact that it's a lexus. "What do you drive Dave? Ferrari 599. What about you Chris? Lamborghini LP-640. You James? Lexus. ...oh." Don't get me wrong, it's probably an outstanding car but for Lexus to all of the sudden come out with a very limited super car when the sportiest car in their line up is the IS-F, it's just hard to grasp.

sinan 01-25-2011 01:11 AM

Nice Toyota !

Panayiotis 01-25-2011 02:07 AM

Actually it's the first lexus NOT to be a Toyota....oddly enough, given Toyota being in LeMans, F1, rallying...one would think it would be better badged a Toyota. As a Lexus it's a bit too try hard....mmmm

Not really a fan of this car, but the interior is gorgeous.

Axxlrod 01-25-2011 04:20 PM

I like the car.

But I think, it should have been priced at $120K, with production output upped to 2000 units.

STOPPIE 01-25-2011 05:04 PM

$120k? C'mon that's too low. The car is a 200k car, not 350.

Axxlrod 01-25-2011 05:26 PM

My prob with the pricing structure is that once you get up to $150K+, for my money, I'm gonna buy Italian all day long.

For a jap car, I think it has to be priced less than the euro exotics... obviously Lexus disagrees with me.

Bronto 01-25-2011 05:30 PM

Wow... When you see normal shots of sports cars they look so much cooler in most cases. The LF-A is one of them :) That must be one very happy customer! Didn't know they were delivering yet.

Axxlrod 01-25-2011 05:31 PM

I was only lukewarm on this car... until I heard it in person.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!

sounds like an F1 car.

crh878 01-25-2011 05:51 PM

The only thing that resembles a Lexus on this car is that is says Lexus on it. (which is unfortunate) The engineering that went into this car is incredible and it looks pretty snazzy too. The way it revs and sounds is beautiful.

Car is just plain idiotic don't get me started.

Perhaps Lexus, but a lot of people agreed with you. Witness this weeks edition of Autoweek (car magazine) with an article on the LF-A at Willow Springs saying that world demand has been lower than expected and they are now shifting another 60 units to the US market in hopes of getting rid of them! :hilarious: Too expensive indeed.
