Carrera Gt windshield help!
 

My client has a CGT and we need a windshield.I was told its a bit of a process and you have to remove the hood and fenders.is this something my bodyshop can do,as they work on all types of cars but not certified on the CGT.

Any info would be great.The windshield is 3400 list..JUST CRAZY

I don't have any info that you asked about but if I were you or him I would only have someone who is certified/trained on a CGT to do or oversee the repair....it's obviously not a Honda we are talking about. Plus $3400 doesn't sound bad for the windshield, figure the cost at component level on a Ford or Honda ($30k car) at $300-$500 now figure the costs of a CGT at $400k plus the cost works out in your favor not to mention there is no volume to dive cost on that down.

Unless the body shop works on exotics I wouldn't let them go near it. Remember it's a carbon frame/body, one screw up and things go really bad and get really expensive quickly.

I agree with Still Lost. Take it to a CGT certified technician (dealer). Better safe than very very sorry...

The car absolutely , positively has to go a Porsche Carrera GT officially trained centre / mechanic . I have changed the screen on mine , its vital that it is done 100 per cent correct . Otherwise it will affect all kinds of things and break again ...

i was told that the windshield is over 3000 and they have to remove the nose of the car to do this repair!!

thank g-d my buddy is the head mechanic over here and certified to work on this car..cant believe how much this job is...
